History of Beer

It is estimated that the origin of beer dates back to 6000 B.C. with the first cereal crops. Its existence was confirmed in the 4th millennium BC. At that time, beer was called "sikaru" (literal translation: liquid bread) and was the basis of daily diet.

In 2000, LE FROID created its own local brewery and began producing the internationally renowned brand Kronenbourg 1664. It quickly became a must-have beer in New Caledonia. In 2008, with its experience and expertise, the LE FROID brewery launched its 100% local beer brand: Manta.
This beer was developed to meet the needs of Caledonian beer consumers, and the Manta logo incorporates a unique graphic design illustrating local art.
